Four Things about Me

A) FOUR PLACES I GO OVER AND OVER: Church; The library; the little historic district down the road-when I need to "get away" I take the boys for ice cream and a root beer; to my hometown in Ohio (I travel there mentally)

B) FOUR PEOPLE WHO ENCOURAGED MY FAITH ALONG THE WAY: I'm a cradle Orthodox, but my parents for teaching me to pray and by watching them fight the good fight, my great grandmother who was a model of Orthodoxy, my spiritual father for his guidance and encouragement, and our Geronda for his holy prayers. I wish everyone realized what a saint he truly is.

C) FOUR OF MY FAVORITE FOODS: anything chocolate, pastitsio, perogies, bread pudding and fresh bread. I know that's five, but bread is always an accompaniment.

D) FOUR PLACES I WOULD RATHER BE RIGHT NOW: Florence, AZ-St. Anthony's monastery; Youngstown, OH-my hometown (home is where the heart is); Russia-I've always wanted to go there; Pireaus, Greece-I love it there (especially the shopping).

E) FOUR MOVIES I WOULD WATCH OVER AND OVER: Pride and Prejudice (the one with Keira Knightley); Little Women; Dirty Dancing (not the most appropriate movie, but I can't help but love it-Nobody puts Baby in a corner (: ); Ostrov.

F)FOUR THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THE ORTHODOX CHURCH: It's the true Faith; Vigils; Monastics; the sacrament of Confession.

G) FOUR OF MY FAVORITE HOBBIES: reading a good book with a nice glass of wine; knitting with a hot cuppa tea; baking with my boys; gardening.
