Everybody else is doing it...

It seems the cool thing to do nowadays is to open an Etsy shop. I don't know how many of you are Etsy shoppers, but I totally love the site. I love the idea of (mostly) SAHM's creating and selling their handcrafts to help support their families. Those of you who live off of one income know how difficult it is and what an enormous sacrifice staying home and raising our little darling's is. Though hard as it may be, the joys certainly outnumber the difficulties and I wouldn't trade it for the world. However with gas at over $4.00 a gallon and DH already working 2 jobs, we sure could use some extra cash flow. Ace will be starting Pre-K this Fall and his school is 30 miles away; I keep trying not to calculate the amount of gas this will require. So I finally did it! I opened my own little Etsy Shop called the Petit Boutique! Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm planning on adding some of my hand knit items as well and am considering posting some of my favorite patterns for custom orders. For now I have some great jewelry items (with a few new ones in the makes) including the Orthodox Icon Bracelets, some hand made soaps (Olive Oil and Goat's Milk) and some INCREDIBLE Bath Indulgences. You have to see these little gems to believe how totally cute they are. They look like different little pastries and I put them inside of tiny pastry boxes and they look awesome. They'll make great gifts this Christmas Season (107 days till black Friday)!I'll be hosting another giveaway to promote the shop soon, so keep an eye out! Here's a peek at some of my favorite products!Come check it out, I'd really appreciate your feedback!
