Speaking to God

I oftentimes remind myself of the words of Elder Porphyrios,   "Speak more to God about your children than to your children about God."
So many times I find myself worrying about my children when they don't want to say prayers or when during prayers they are playing with their clothes, the carpet or anything else they can find to distract themselves.  I have read many times that we are not to force them into praying, that by them watching us pray they will eventually want to pray on their own.  Although I believe this wholeheartedly, I sometimes have trouble accepting it.  That is why days like today give me hope.

When I came out of the laundry room I found Ace in his tent praying.  He can't read but he sat there "reading" the prayer book and saying whatever words and prayers he does know.  He had a prayer rope, his censer and his little cross.    Thank you Lord for all the blessings You bestow upon me undeserving as I am...
