I wanted to let you all know about a new book entitled The Prayer Rope, published by St. Nektarios monastery in New York.

It is a little book full of wonderful information and quotes on the history of the prayer rope and different ways to use it. It also discusses the fruits of practicing the Jesus prayer and it's origins.

With Christmas being right around the corner I'm thinking this would make a great stocking stuffer. It's only $5!

I especially enjoyed the wonderful iconographic illustrations. This one here is of a layperson using a prayer rope. I thought it was beautiful.
