St. Spyridon Advent Retreat

Many of you may recall the Advent Retreat at St. Spyridon's Church in Chicago, IL that Presbytera Georgia was collecting recipes for. Well, Presbytera informed me that the retreat was a tremendous success and I wanted to thank all of you again for submitting such delicious recipes for her Lenten Lunchbox Recipe Book. She is sending me a copy and I will make copies or post them for whomever is interested!

It is such a small world within our beautiful Faith. When Presbytera emailed me regarding the retreat, I realized that 1. My husband had baptized our koumbaro's son in the church where her husband serves, the day before 2. One of the main speakers at the retreat was going to be my former spiritual father, Fr. Chrysostomos. He had been at the monastery near us for years and then he went to AZ and is now serving at the monastery in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

So not only was I excited about the Lenten Lunch Box book but I was *thrilled* at the chance to hear a sermon from my beloved (former) spiritual father!

She told me they were going to try to record the sermon and if it was successful she would send me the link. Click here to listen to Fr. Chrysostomos speak on The Awesome Birth of Christ and Preparing Your Family for Advent.
