Orthodox Shrinky Dinks Fun

Well, not really but kind of! Recently I picked up a pack of frosted Shrinky Dink paper at Hobby Lobby ($5.99 - 40% off coupon). I originally wanted it so I could keep some of Ace's little drawings with me at all time. I love children's artwork; it always makes me smile.We came home and made this little keychain:The next day he was coloring an icon page of the Dormition and I thought Hmm...I wonder what would happen if I traced some of them on the Shrinky Dink paper?So I traced the image of the Panagia,Then I colored it and wrote the words, "Most Holy Theotokos, save us"Then we baked it and it came out o.k. but I thought it would be better if I cut around the image so we traced and colored another one of Archangel Michael (from the Dormition icon)Before I baked it, I punched a hole near the top (not too close) so I could attach a ring to it and Ace could wear it with his cross.He was super-excited and couldn't wait to show his cousins.Next I'm going to try the printable Shrinky Dinks and see if I can print the icons directly from the computer. I'm thinking these would make great bracelets or back pack pulls too! What do you think?
