Idaho Winters...

While Ace was dreaming of bringing some snow back home to build an igloo, Shelley from Idaho was looking at photos of one of the igloo's her son John made. She was kind enough to email them to me so Ace could see a real igloo.

Every winter when her son comes home to visit they have a tradition of building an igloo! This one fit 3 adults lying down!

Shelley also shared some interesting igloo pointers. Did you know that once the igloo is built you can light a candle inside to melt the ice a little and then when it re-freezes it'll be wind proof? I thought that was amazing!

She also said they really do hold the heat in well and the tunnel allows air to circulate, making it quite comfortable inside. I think that is so neat and Ace has been telling his cousins he knows real Eskimos who live in an igloo! :)

Thanks Shelley for thinking of us and sharing these amazing photos and tips!
