This afternoon we got together with a friend of mine and her two boys and went to a local farm to pick strawberries. The boys had so much fun! They picked and munched on juicy, red strawberries until their hearts were content. I even offered to pay for the extra lb. in their bellies but the sweet lady who owned the farm wouldn't hear of it!At first we had to keep reminding the little ones not to pick the green ones but they caught on quick and we off picking them on their own in no time! The weather was a perfect 72 degrees and there was a lovely breeze. I so enjoy these types of activities, it's so rejuvenating!We also picked up some other delicious & organic produce while we were there. I love supporting small farms, they always have the best stuff and their prices are so good I feel like I'm cheating them! I got everything in the photo; 15 lbs of mouth-watering strawberries, all the veggies you see plus 44 oz. of raw, locally grown honey for...are you ready for this? Thirty Dollars!! I can't wait to make some fresh strawberry jam and strawberry scones with cream! Can't wait to go back in a couple months for tomato picking!!
