Holy Week Activities

I want to wish everyone a blessed Holy Week & Pascha! I'm not sure if I'll be posting again before Pascha or not, I hope not to turn my computer on at all this week so I wanted to just post some of our plans and activities for the week.Every day this week the boys will color a Holy Week coloring page and read the story of what we celebrate each day. We'll also be baking our Resurrection cookies on Holy Saturday evening--the boys love this!!This is Ace's monk doll that he's had since he was a baby. He loves it and calls it his Nono-Papa doll because there is an undeniable resemblance between the doll and his godfather. We have a nun too but she's tucked away in case we ever have a girl. :) We'll be bringing it along with our Pascha candles and the book Pascha Elliniko (Greek Easter). I bring a few quiet toys to church on Pascha since it's such a long service and Ace tries really hard to stay awake.I'm also going to try making kulich after being enticed by these delicious photos and recipes! I'll let you know how they turn out. Thanks Monica and Katherine for the inspiration!

Here's a photo of some friends making Pascha candles at my house a few weeks ago.
