Psalter Group Readings

Three Generations Icon

Below are everyone's beginning kathisma and name, along with the Psalms according to the New Testament (Orthodox Study Bible) for those of you who do not have a Psalter.

You will read your first kathisma on February 15th and then continue with the next one each day. Obviously, since I'm a day late you can either double up today or just begin on today's reading. For those of you with screen names, please leave your baptismal name in the comments so I can add it to the list so you can be prayed for properly each day.

Here are the daily readings. You will find your name on the list below and then begin reading on the day with your number. For example, I am #10 so I will begin on Day 10 and read Psalms 71-77. Then on Day 21 you start all over.

So we will be reading through the entire Psalter twice throughout Great Lent. If anyone has any questions please email me at Sylvia{at}OrthodoxMom{dot}com. Kali Dynami!

*Before beginning each Kathisma, recite the Trisagion Prayers (can be found in any prayer book).

*At the end of each Kathisma, recite the following:

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia. Glory to you, O God. (3 times) Our hope, O Lord, glory to You.

Don't forget to say a Lord have mercy for all the people on this list. If your baptismal name is not listed (many are screen names) please leave it in the comments and I'll edit the list.

Thank you all for participating and have a blessed Lenten journeyt!

*PLEASE NOTE: Even though we began our readings already, I will continue adding people to the list as they come. So if anyone is interested simply leave your baptismal name and email address and I will add you to the list. Thank you.
