Fire at St. John Forerunner Monastery in Serres, Greece
There was recently a large fire at the Holy Monastery of St. John the Forerunner in Serres, Greece. I am not sure the extent of the damage but wanted to pass along this video clip (link at bottom of post) for those of you looking for information on the fire.
The clip is in Greek, and I don't understand all of it myself, but you can see the video of the fire. From what I did understand, a fairly a large section of the monastery was damaged but none of the sisters were harmed. Thank God! I am trying to find out more details and if there are any monastery needs that we can assist with and will pass along the information in case any of you are interested in helping out, if necessary.
