Boy, Oh Boy!

Nektarios Evangelos

March 25, 2011

7 lbs. 11 oz.

Well, our little angel couldn't wait until his scheduled appointment and so on March 25 at 2:15 in the morning I began having contractions and at 6:39 a.m. Nektarios was born. We are so blessed to have this beautiful healthy little boy in our family and are humbled for him to have entered our lives on such a special day.Of course, it wasn't hard to name him. With the love and history of St. Nektarios in our family and the celebration of the Annunciation (Evangelismos) on the day of his birth, everything just felt right. The boys are amazed and won't stop telling me how cool babies are and how much they love him. It melts my heart to watch them all together. Thank you Lord, for your blessings.Thank you for the kind emails many of you have sent, your prayers are so appreciated.

Troparion to St. Nektarios The offspring of Selyvria and the guardian of Aegina, the true friend of virtue who didst appear in the last years, O Nektarios, we faithful honor thee as a godly servant of Christ, for thou pourest forth healings of every kind for those who piously cry out: Glory to Christ Who hath glorified thee. Glory to Him who made thee wondrous. Glory to Him Who worketh healings for all through thee.
