The First Thanksgiving {written by Niki D., age 8; Campbell, Ohio}

A couple of weeks ago my cousin sent me the most adorable story written by her daughter Niki, about the first Thanksgiving. I thought it was only appropriate to publish it today.To see the world through the innocent eyes of a child is such a beautiful gift. THE FIRST THANKSGIVING

The First Thanksgiving took place long long ago when T.V.'s were not even made!There were lots of pillgroms and there were indens and they were friends. So one day they wanted to have dinner and that was called The First Thanksgiving!The pillgroms were getting ready at the table whill the indens were catching the turkey. So the pillgroms and the indens were ready for thanksgiving. At the table there were mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and of couse the turkey and all other foods!So they laughed and told jokes!

Here's a joke that the indens told: Why did the turkey cross the road?The pillgroms said: I don't know?The indens said: Because it didn't want to be eaten!

So they laughed. hahahahahahahahahaha!Then when they were done laughing they started to eat desert which were pies and then they were do full! So when they were done eating the indens taught the pillgroms how to grow corn.And thats how The First Thanksgiving was made. So thats why we have to thank the pillgroms and the indens.THE END!
