The Secret Life of Mommy Bloggers

I just realized I never posted this story on this blog.  I originally published it on 06/12/09 on the Chasing Cheerios blog I used to have and when I stumbled across it today it made me giggle, so I thought I'd share it here today.   WEDNESDAY:

DH came home from work and asked, "Did you get a chance to do those things in the yard I asked you to?" Me: I got a few of them done but then I had to catch up on some work. DH: You worked all day or you played on the computer all day? Me: Umm...yeah. Well I work on the computer right? I've got 3 deadlines coming up and the house and kids aren't self-cleaning, so I worked all day. Just so you know.

DH proceeds to huff and go into the room to change into work clothes.I proceed to mumble to myself (or so I thought): Does he seriously think I'm not working all day? THURSDAY:Ace snaps this photo of me:

Me: Why are you taking pictures of Mommy?Ace: Because when Baba (daddy in Greek) comes home I can show him that you really do work all day.Me: Ummm thanks....give me the camera and go finish building your fort.

Gotta love him for trying to help his mama though I'm not sure who he'd really be helping if this photo leaked...Does anyone else deal with a hubby that just doesn't get it sometimes?? :) I'd love to hear your stories!A few hours later, the scenario looked a little something like this:I am folding laundry here. DH was outside on the tractor (right outside those doors) and every time he drove by I tried to hide the computer behind the recliner. One time I thought for sure he spotted me so I got up to hide the computer somewhere and no matter which direction I went he could've seen me. So I was running around in circles and then I started laughing hysterically and shouted,

"There's nowhere to hide!!"That's when Ace came in yelling, "What's wrong?""Nothing," I said."Why did you yell 'Fire in the hole' then?""What? I didn't say that.""Yes you did," he insisted.

And then he snapped this picture and ran back into the garage. Now that I think about it, maybe he's not trying to help me after all.Maybe he's a spy...
