proverbs read-along

fall favesHappy 1st of October! If Autumn is my favorite season then October is my favorite month.  Hues of gold, red and orange are everywhere and the air finally has that sweet smell of fall.  The weather is perfect for a big chunky sweater and flannel blanket scarf.  Sandals are packed away and boots come out of their boxes.  Pumpkin spice lattes are all the rage again.  The world begins to darken sooner and life just seems to slow down a bit in anticipation of winter.  I. love. it.My favorite things to do when temperatures start to drop are knit and read.  I'm working on this lovely shoulder warmer in perfect fall colors.  It can be worn as a cowl or pulled down around your shoulders as a wrap.  I found this beautiful handspun at my local yarn shop and knew I had to knit something with it.  I can hardly wait to snuggle inside of it.  :)pumpkin latte & fall knittingI've also decided to read the book of Proverbs this month.  There are 31 chapters and 31 days so I thought this would be a great time to do it before we find ourselves busy with the hustle and bustle of the rapidly approaching holiday season.  (Only 12 more weeks until Christmas!!)Proverbs ReadingThroughout the month, I'll be randomly posting my favorite verse(s) from each chapter on Facebook and Instagram.  I'd love to have some of you join me in reading!  If you decide to read along, feel free to share photos of your favorite verses or reading spots and use the hashtag #octoberproverbs!
