Spider in his nose?!?
Well, I have to admit every day as a mom I deal with issues I never thought I'd be faced with. The other day Ace came into my room and said, "Mommy I had a spider living in my nose but he died so I picked him out and rinsed him down the sink." Assuming I misunderstood I asked him to repeat himself only to hear the same story. So refusing to believe there was actually a spider in his nose I asked him, "Ace are you sure it wasn't a booger that looked like a spider?" "No it really was a spider because his legs were are crawled up like this." he said as he crunched up his fingers to look exactly the way spider legs look when they're dead. (see photo below)
So totally freaked out I told him when things like that happen he's got to tell me. He very calmly shrugged his shoulders and said "Was it really that big of a deal? I picked him out and rinsed him down the sink I told you." OK then.
So now I want to sleep with a mask on my face to prevent spiders from crawling up my nose. I'm totally freaked out. I have always heard that a person swallows an average of 6 spiders a year when they sleep. I dismissed this as a fable, but now I wonder.....
