Announcing: The Orthodox Mom Travel Swap!

I recently missed a great Paris themed swap and was kind of bummed, but then I thought (light bulb goes on and finger raises) AHA! I'll host a swap on my blog! There is a great swap going on over at Kelly's blog right now (I missed it last year so am super-excited I'm on time this year), so it seems to be the season to swap! A few months back we had a swap in our needle workers group on OrthodoXCircle and it was so much fun and we got tons of beautiful stuff!

So here at Adventures of an Orthodox Mom I will be hosting a Travel Swap beginning today! Sign-ups will be until midnight on June 8th! Monday, June 9th I will e-mail you with who your swap partner will be!

Where do you wish you could travel to this summer? Do you have a place you've already traveled to that you love? Have you ever wished to travel to Russia to see the beautiful cathedrals? Or how about the Holy Land? Ever wanted to take a romantic gondola ride through the Italian canals? Visit the Eiffel Tower? Cross the London Bridge? You get the idea!

Here are the specifics:

Each person will be responsible for sending 3 items (along with whatever extras you want to include; make it something you would like to receive) that are some of your favorite travel related items. This can include, but is by no means limited to, travel guides, travel journals, pictures or collages, maps, magazines that you take with you on a flight, etc. It could also include something that reminds you of a favorite city, a favorite travel type bag stocked with your favorite goodies, get creative! I'd like to include one handmade item along with the other goodies of your choice. If you'd like to see some pics of previous swaps, check out Kelly's Flickr group or this site.
