Where's the beef?
We recently had a few new additions to the family, nice Black Angus beef cows. With the beef in this country being for the dogs (even though I wouldn't even feed it to my dog) us and a couple of our neighbors went in and split the cost of a few cows. We had the room in the back so they're living with us for now.
We stopped by the butcher's and picked up our first shipment of non-radiated, fresh, organic beef! We got some beautiful steaks, we haven't been able to afford a good steak in a l o n g time, so we're eatin' good tonight! We packed our entire freezer with enough ground beef , steaks and roasts to last a year! We got it for $2.69 lb!
Next I think we'll start on our chickens, I can't even believe I'm up for this because when we first got them (4 yrs ago) I made DH promise we'd only use them for eggs. Now I feel differently because buying organic is sooo $$$ and the food is so bad for us. I'll keep you posted...
Also I'm hosting a giveaway over at Blissfully Domestic for 2 of the acorn necklaces I posted about. Click here to enter!
