A few of my Favorite Things {gift guide}
I've been meaning to post a list of some of my favorite things for weeks now but haven't had the chance until now. Since today is the 13th of December I've chosen thirteen of my very favorite things. Some I already own and love and others are on my revolving Christmas list. <31. Chunky Knit Infinity Scarf from ASOS Chunky knit scarves are by far one of my favorite things to cuddle up under when it's cold outside. This one by ASOS is super cuddly and the price is great at under $40.00!2. iPad Mini Folio by Kate Spade This iPad mini folio by Kate Spade stole my heart with it's adorable bubblegum pink color and the little pencils on the cover that read things like "Conquer the Souffle" and "Smile at a Stranger" are just the icing on the cake.3. Idiom Bracelets by Kate Spade Okay, I'll admit that I have a bit of a Kate Spade obsession. She is really the only designer that I consistently fall in love with because her items are so classic and just plain fun! I love things that make me smile. These idiom bracelets are stamped on the back with phrases like "Find the Silver Lining" and "Stop to Smell the Roses". Right up my alley...4. Greek Fir Honey from Eulogia I was given a jar of this honey as a gift and I will tell you it is absolutely delicious. It is totally organic and raw and unlike traditional honey which is created when bees collect nectar from flowers, Eulogia's fir honey is created from the honeydew left behind by aphids that extract and feed on the sap of the fir tree. You will quickly become addicted to this stuff. Oprah actually picked it as one of her favorites this year and if you use coupon code 'Oprah' you will receive 20% off your order.5. Yellow Hunter Boots Any Hunter boots are fabulous but the classic yellow ones are my favorite. The cheery color brightens up dark, rainy days and makes you feel like the sun is always shining.6. Raffaello Truffles I buy these delicious coconut covered almond truffles from my local Publix but they can be found in any fine supermarket. The hardest part is not eating them all at once.7. Creme Brulee Lip Scrub by Sara Happ from Nordstrom This sugar lip scrub is perfect for when cold weather starts to chap your lips. It comes in other flavors like peppermint, vanilla bean, green apple and more. Creme brulee is my favorite though. The only thing missing is a spoon.8. Squeeze Me Mittens by Oeuf I would love a pair of these adorable mittens made by Oeuf. They have a children's pair of mittens strategically sewn onto the adult ones making it easy to hold your child's hand. And it's one less pair of mittens to keep track of. I think I may knit up this pair of similar ones.9. The Scent of Holiness by Matushka Constantina Palmer and A Winter's Dream (or anything else) by Richard Paul Evans There is at least one book in my bag at all times. The Scent of Holiness is one of my absolute favorites. I even bought the e-book to have with me for moments when I get a chance to sneak in a few unexpected minutes of reading. Also, it has been a tradition in my family since 1994 for my parents to buy me a book for Christmas written by Richard Paul Evans. They all have Christian themes and are perfect for snuggling up with a cozy blanket and cup of tea.10. Faux Knit Mugs from Bloomingdale's I am in love with these faux knit mugs. I found mugs with real knit sleeves on them at Target that are great but you have to remove the cozy for washing. These mugs remind me of one of my favorite mugs that DH got me a few years ago that have a knit pattern in the porcelain. They come in a variety of colors and are on sale for $7.99 each!11. Bluetooth Gloves from Uncommon Goods The tech geek in me loves these gloves. Maybe it was all those years of watching Inspector Gadget as a kid or something but I just really want to hold my fingers to my face like that and make a real life phone call.12. Mini Latte Bowels from Anthropologie These little bowls are perfect for pretty much everything. The hold perfect serving amounts for ice cream and other snacks. They are both microwave and dishwasher safe.13. Navy Cambridge Satchel from ModCloth No Favorite Things list is complete without a handbag {or three}. Well, none of my lists anyway. I have been coveting for awhile now. I love the navy colored one because it is so versatile and matches practically everything and it would also make the perfect writing bag, which I am in desperate need of. However.... I'm also really loving this one. And also the Museum Mile bag. I really really love that one. How perfect would it be for our next NYC trip? I mean seriously. Unfortunately, I promised DH I would only buy one bag a year from now on {if you know me you know this is quite a promise}. I could care less about shopping for clothes, jewelry, or shoes but bags and books are an entirely different subject. So, I don't think I'll find any of those under the tree for Christmas, but come spring one of those lovelies will be mine, all mine! {insert evil laugh} ;)I hope you enjoyed My Favorite Things list for 2013! What's on your list?
