Snowman Christmas Party + craft
I love snowmen. They're just so cute and fluffy and well, cute. For the past two years, I've had a little snowman party for the boys and some of their cousins. It's always so much fun!!Each year I've made these fun snowman cups out of regular styrofoam cups, a black sharpie and tiny pieces of orange felt. I glued the noses on with just a dab of glue.I really wanted this snowman punch bowl I saw from Better Homes & Garden but couldn't find it anywhere so I made my own using a decorative bowl I found on clearance at Target for $3.99! Originally, I planned to use window clings but couldn't find any so I just cut two black eyes and an orange carrot nose from some leftover felt. I hot glue the pieces on and they peel right off when it's time for washing. At the boys request, we make snowman doughnuts and served them with white hot chocolate and french vanilla snowman shaped marshmallows (Wal-mart brings them every year).Last year, we gave the other kids treat bags full of m&m's with a little Christmas story attached to it (see photo below).I wanted a fun and somewhat neat craft project for them to do too, so we made these adorable snowman thermometers out of popsicle sticks.

The boys are always dying to build snowmen, have snowball fights and play in the snow. Unfortunately, we don't have that opportunity in Florida so they make the best of it! They build sandmen and have paper ball fights instead!Meet Sandy...Our little snowman themed party has become a tradition that the boys really look forward to (right along with our Nutcracker parties) and is something I love doing for them and my nephews. And you all know how much I love traditions. The best part is it's never too late to create them. Sometimes, they create themselves without us even realizing it and those, I think, are usually the best kind. <3
